O BANHO 
VÍDEO  /  1993
Uma mulher em uma banheira: primeiro trabalho que realizo em vídeo, investigando a composição dos pastéis de Banho, de Edgar Degas, cujos quadros eram realizados a partir de fotografias feitas pelo próprio. Neste primeiro momento, já me parece vital perturbar a relação entre imagem fixa e imagem em movimento: quando a banhista se move é uma citação da pintura, quando permanece parada é vídeo.

THE BATH

A woman in a tub: the first piece I shot in video, investigating, from a compositional standpoint, the pastels of Bath, by Edgar Degas, whose pictures were painted from photographs taken by the painter himself. Even in this early stage, it already seems vital to me to destabilize relations between still image and moving pictures: when the bathing woman moves, it is a quotation of the painting; when she remains motionless, it is a video.
